According to the Center for Disease Control, schools should discourage the sale of foods high in fat, sodium, and added sugars (e.g., candy, fried chips, and soda) on school grounds and as part of fundraising activities. Although selling low-nutritive foods may provide revenue for school programs, such sales tell students that it is acceptable to compromise health for financial reasons. School fundraisers can promote health & wellnesses while helping schools meet their financial needs. Although local wellness policies can define how fundraising is carried out, promoting healthy choices such as non-food items, physical activity or healthier foods also supports nutrition education taught in the classroom.

People always think that it is only elementary school aged and older children and those participating in sports leagues who do fundraisers. But there is another huge group of kids that need to raise money that tends to be overlooked and that is kids who attend daycares or preschools. This demographic has been searching for new fundraising ideas and this article will list some of the best daycare fundraisers to come out in a very long time.

1.)One of the most popular daycare fundraising ideas is a Smencils fundraiser. These pencils are made by tightly wrapping recycled news paper around a standard #2 pencil graphite and then hardening the paper to the consistency of a normal wood pencil. The pencils are then soaked in a number of fun smells that kids love. With a price point of only $1 and profits around 50% for your school, this is a terrific daycare fundraising program.

2.)Another really popular program is a flower bulb fundraiser. This is just what it sounds like, the kids go and sell flower bulbs and seeds to raise money for the school. It is a very easy program because most people like flowers which makes the selling easy. Additionally, many fundraising companies offer terrific profit margins making this a no-brainer of a choice.

These are just two of literally hundreds of fantastic options available to day care and preschool students. The key is to find a program that your students can get excited about and then make sure to keep everyone motivated and organized and you will have a successful day care fundraiser.

Lollipops are a fun fundraiser that will have you wanting to order more. Since the summer months limits the candy sales because of the heat with lollipops you can still sell a inexpensive product. Lollipops come in a variety of flavors and shapes so there is something for everyone who needs a great summer fundraiser. Whether you are sports group, school or church the lollipop fundraising can be very successful. You sell the lollipops for less than 1.00, so this makes a fundraiser that everyone can afford and will more than likely buy more than 1. The flaovrs are sweet and tangy. The sour pops are a huge hit with the kids. Every child loves that sour taste followed by a sweet flavor. You can order as little as 1 case, so you don't need to order a whole bunch at one time. You can order as you need so you don't feel the pressure of ordering allot of cases at one time. The delivery is quick, so when you run out you can re-order and keep the fundraising going with lots of enthusiasm. This fundraiser works very well with all groups since there are so many choices. You can buy pops that represent any holdiday as well. With a lollipop fundraiser and the low cost to get started on this great program, you will have great profits and happy customers asking you for more.

If you are like most busy families, you feel like you are running everywhere and not getting much done. Plus, you are now in charge of your child's fundraiser. You may wonder, how did that happen? But, it did and you are in charge of getting all the funds needed for the group and you are feeling the pressure. The easiest most time efficient fundraiser is your answer, but you are asking yourself " What are those and where do I sign up?". Here are some wonderful examples of high profit, easy and time efficient fundraisers:
1. Scratch cards - So easy and you are not having to sell anything! Just have sponsors scratch off 2 dots and then they donate the money. Get 25 people do the same thing and your scratch card is done. Plus, you will have raised up to 90% profit.
2. Pizza Cards - Everyone loves pizza and this fundraiser is a direct sell fundraiser, meaning, you have the card in hand to sell that way you are not worrying about delivery of product
3. Visit our Mall - Sign you group up for an online shopping mall. Once your mall is created have members of your group go to the "invite" button and put in friends and families email addresses. This helps advertise your mall and you get a percentage of every sale made through your online mall. You just get a check when your commissions start adding up.
With the busy world we live in, we must find time to get it all done and be efficient at the same time. These fundraisers will help your group and keep you from being too stressed out.

You see it everywhere you go. Everyone is getting more and more “green” conscious. So why not let your next fundraiser show just how “green” conscious you and your group are. The Go Green Fundraiser offers a wide array of earth friendly items, including healthy foods and organic products. One of the more popular items is the trees that come shipped in a plastic tube. The trees are ready to plant in the ground, so your customer can watch it grow. We also offer reusable shopping bags and coolers, organic breads and desserts, healthy snacks, flower bulbs and organic lip balm and lotions.

With this pre sell fundraiser all you have to do is call request the information. Once you have received the information, we suggest you take orders for 2 weeks. As you are taking orders you will need to make sure you collect money. Once the fundraiser is over gather all the order forms, make you have tally all the products you need. If you don’t sell 120 items you will have to pay small shipping and handling fee of $65.00.

The Go Green Fundraiser works like most Brochure fundraisers. The more you sell the higher your profit will be. Go Green allows you to earn as much as 55%. You are sure to receive 25%when sell at least 120 items.

Flower bulbs are a great fundraising product, there are no arguments about that. You get an earth friendly fundraising product which is one of the hottest trends in fundraising, you get great profit margins as high as 50%, you have a low minimum order level, and you get one of the easiest to sell products available anywhere. What's not to love? But is a flower fundraiser right for your group? Let's look at some examples of successful flower fundraising efforts to see if we notice some patterns. All of these are real examples with all of the identifying details removed for privacy reason.

The first group is an elementary school in Chicago. There are more than 500 kids in the school and all of them were supposed to participate in the fundraiser making it a large group with young members. They did their flower fundraiser in the spring and were very successful raising thousands of dollars that they used to purchase a new playground.

The second group is a neighborhood association in Maryland. They were looking for a way to support their neighborhood activities like having weekly movie nights and to beautify the public spaces in the area. This group was about 50 people, all of whom were adults. Their flower fundraising event was held in the fall and was very successful.

The last group we will look at is a gardening club in Arizona. It's membership consisted of 12 retired women who wanted to raise money to build a garden in a local park. Not only did they use the funds they raised from the flowers to pay for the garden, they also used some bulbs they bought from the fundraiser to plant in the garden.

It would seem, by looking at these three groups, that there really is no group that can not benefit from and enjoy a flower fundraiser.

I would like to suggest that for a successful fundraiser you start off my having a fundraiser meeting. This will insure that everyone is educated about the fundraiser. If possible involve everyone who will be participating in this fundraiser. After you have passed out the materials, make sure you go over: how much money you want to raise, what the money will be earmarked for, the products you are selling, the dates your fundraiser begins and ends, and how much you expect each person to sell.

It’s also good to plan some kind of incentive for your participants. This will help motivate your group. Everyone knows that motivate groups sell more. It can be anything from a small prize to a large grand prize to be drawn for.

Make sure you set goals. I have often heard it said “He who expects nothing will never be disappointed” or ” If you expect nothing do not be surprised if you get nothing.” Set goals. Most people do not like to let people down. Give the participants an attainable goal and tons of encouragement that they can reach or exceed that goal.

About mid-way through your fundraiser, make contact with your participants. Remind them of what the fundraiser is for and what their goals are. This way the fundraiser does not get put on the back burner until the last minute.

The last suggestion is very important. Promote! Promote! Promote! The fundraiser will only be successful if people know about it and what is being fundraised for. Get the word out with newsletters, posts on group websites, in hallways and billboards.

It's almost time to start back to school. Schedules are getting busy. Why not sell a fundraising product everyone can use. Just think everyone has at least one calendar in their home or office. The fall is a great time to sell calendars because people are starting to plan for the New Year.

Our Calendar fundraising program offers one of the most complete programs out there. There is a calendar for everyone. We also offer an awesome selection of greeting cards. This will help maximize your sales. As you sell the calendars suggest buying a box of cards so as they are filling out their new calendar they can go ahead and fill out the greeting cards for the year.

This fundraiser is a pre-sell fundraiser. We provide you and your group with free order forms you use to pre-sell the calendars and cards. You will want to collect your money as you pre-sell. Once your Calendar fundraiser is done, add up all your orders, and then call us to place your bulk order. If your order is over 100 items we will pay for the shipping otherwise there will be a $65.00 shipping and handling fee added to your order.

You can earn up to 60% profit selling calendars.
