Fundraising can be fun, yes, that is what I said.
Most people cringe at the thought of being the Fundraising coordinator for the group. It is a tough job but it can be done and with a smile on your face.
Go into the job with a great attitude and with a great feeling that the group will hit their goal. If the coordinator is excited and pumped about the fundraiser then the group will be too. Be sure and pick the fundraiser that the group will be excited to sell. Find a unique idea that no one else is doing in the area.
I suggest Flower Bulb fundraising or the Go-Green program.
These both are different and help the environment. Be sure and set goals and turn in dates for you new fun fundraiser. And I can’t say it enough, be excited about it and you will be surprised how that excited will rub off on your group and people in the group will be willing to help you from start to finish.
So for your next fundraising adventure, be excited, happy and consider it a pleasure to be the group’s fundraising coordinator.
